we did some gardening this afternoon, just pulled weeds pretty much. Also, I would like to mention that there are no outlets with a whole for the third prong. Luckily, someone left us a nice little gadget that plugs in and has three holes, all with a third prong hole, so now I can charge my computer! My new address is:

new house and SUMMER!!

Well ladies and gents, it's finally summer time here in Logan town. Too bad it's not even warm really. But hey, at least it hasn't snowed!! Finals last week weren't too bad; I only had two: Balancing Work and Family and Biology. The whole week was spent packing up my apartment and moving things to my summer house. My roommate Chelsea and I moved our stuff to our house Wednesday afternoon, then I spent the rest of the day moving the rest of my stuff into my car. That night all that was left in my room was my bedding and my pillow. It was so sad to say goodbye to everyone. Alycia was the first roommate to leave, and probably the hardest to say goodbye to. She is getting married in the fall, so she won't be coming back. Katie left Wednesday, and that was hard too because she is gone all summer. At least she is coming back in the fall though! Wednesday night I worked, then watched the first Iron Man (for the second time in 24 hours), then went to a movie theater work party where we watched Iron Man 2! It was pretty good!! Thursday morning I said goodbye to the rest of my roommates, all of whom are staying here over the summer. Then it was off to take my final! My final started at 9:30, and I was out of there by 10:00. After that it was time for a long drive home to surprise my mom :) I pulled into town at about 2:15, right when mom gets off work. We talk on the phone everyday when she gets off, so I called her, but she didn't answer her phone. I just drove to my house, and she wasn't there, so I sat on the driveway just waiting. It was about 2:25 at this point, so I called her again, and she said she was going to Fred Meyer. I got back in my car (told her I was going to Wal-Mart) and drove to Fred Meyer. I knew what side she would park on, so I parked my car up front, stood by the back of my car, and waited for her to drive up. It was pretty much the best surprise ever! The whole weekend was just great! Thursday night we had a family adventure and went to the midnight premiere of Ironman 2. The best part was seeing how my dad acts when he is tired. "Watch the corn." hahah oh dad. Friday we just hung out for a while and had dinner together as a family, one thing I miss most about being away from home. That night I went to the play Hello Dolly with Stephanie. Saturday my mom and I drove out to Matt and Colleen's new house. Silas is the cutest baby ever!!!! Afterward we met dad and the boys at Rockies diner, then the boys and I just went home. That night we put in a movie, then I ended up leaving around 10 to go get ice cream with Stephanie, Mike, Ryan, and Kyle. We were there for almost two hours; it was so good to see them!! I miss my best friends so much :( Sunday morning we went and got family pictures taken at Target for Mother's Day. Haha we are the most ridiculous family ever. Adrian would breathe in deep right before a picture to make his muscles look bigger. In half the pictures we are all just laughing. We went to lunch at On the Border (Adrian spilled his soda twice, surprising huh?) Once we got home, I kinda packed all my stuff up fast and made a quick exit. It's getting easier to say goodbye to my friends, but each time I go home it gets harder and harder to say goodbye to my family. I feel like our relationship is better now whenever I see them because we're not constantly around them. Anthony and I still fight, but thats what we do, its how we show we love each other haha. I got back to Logan Sunday night around six thirty, but Chelsea wouldn't be back for another hour. I went to the Kappa Delta house and hung out there until she got home, then we went and got dinner and a few groceries to last us about two days. That night we were in bed by 10:30, it was the greatest thing ever. I think we fell asleep around 11:30 or 12, but we both got woken up about every hour because the room we slept in was right next to the boiler room. I was up at 7 because I had to be to work by 8, I remember why I chose not to take a morning shift second semester: mornings suck. So Monday we just hung out, I worked then we played and ran errands in the afternoon. Tuesday night we were again asleep by 11:30, then I got up and went to work. We were possibly going to be able to move into our house on Tuesday, so while I was at work Chels called the landlord and he told us we could move in! We just had to call the girl that was already living there so she could let us in. After work I went back to the Kappa Delta house and showered and got ready, and the girl at the house, Sarah, had texted Chelsea back! So we loaded up our stuff and went down to our house to get settled!! It took me almost four hours to unpack everything. I had boxed up all my clothes so I would have room in my car for other things, so that was pretty terrible haha. We went grocery shopping that night. I had a wonderful list of food I was going to make and groceries I needed to buy, but I was so tired once we got to the store that I just didn't care, so I bought frozen things haha. I will learn to cook. Chelsea said she'll help me. I think we are making spaghetti tonight! It was so nice to be able to sleep in a bed Tuesday night instead of on the couch or the floor. We have bunkbeds in our rooms, and I took the bottom bunk because Chelsea said she might hit her head. I have only hit mine once so far haha. I took some pictures, but then my camera batteries died :( so there aren't as many pictures as I would have liked, but it should do.

Alright well, I was going to post the pictures, but I'm at work and it turns out that we don't have a slot for sd cards...weird. So it is going to have to wait until I'm at home. Hopefully my crummy internet will allow for a little blogging time. Until then, here are our family pictures :)

New Home!!!

Well, I sure am terrible at updating my blog. Word of advice to all family members (even grandparents): get Facebook, I post like every single minute of my life on there, and it is far easier than updating a blog haha. Second semester has been a great one so far! I had friends already when I came back from break, so that was a nice change from last semester. The girls I am friends with live on campus in what is called the Living Learning Community, or the LLC for short. We hung out there all the time, so I would always have to walk over there, then walk home at night whenever it was time for bed. The first weekend after school started though, I just spent the night. I slept on their couch Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The next weekend I slept there Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. After the first week and a half, we decided I should just move in. They had an empty bed because of their roommates from last semester left. So I emailed the Housing Director, and after another week and a half of emailing back and forth with him, I am finally moved in! Chelsea and Alyca, two of my suitemates, helped me move all of my stuff Thursday night, and I just finished hanging up my pictures yesterday, so I am officially moved in!!! The picture of four girls is me and three of my suitemates. I'm not close with my actual roommate, in fact I had only ever said hi to her like twice before I moved in. Her sister lives in Building B, so she is always there or at the library studying. There are eight of us that live in a suite. As you can see from the pictures, there are two sides to our suite, connected by a living room at small kitchenette. There is a bathroom on either side with a tub/shower, toilet, and a two sink vanity area. This place is so much nicer than where I used to live. And I love all my suitemates, and the other kids on our floor. There are eight boys that live down the hall, and they are HILARIOUS. I love them so much. They remind me of a group of guy friends I had sophomore year. They are just nice, good, funny boys. And there is a boy across the hall who is way fun too...but we'll get to him in a little bit :] Oh by the way, my new address is...

So far I really like all of my classes. I dropped my 4000/6000 level education class, so now I am down to 15 credits, but that is a good amount of credits, and leaves me plenty of time to study and do things for Kappa Delta. This past week was recruitment week, so we did a few activities to meet new girls and see who was interested and joining. We handed out about 14 bids and have had all but three so far accept them! We are supposed to have 60 girls to be a nationally recognized chapter, and we are currently at 41 so we are working hard to get those last 19 girls to be our new sisters!
Yes, there is a new boy in my life haha. His name is John Moore, and he lives across the hall. We have the same exact birthday, and decided that it was basically fate haha. It started out as a joke, but now we actually like each other (we don't think it's fate...that part is still a joke haha.) He took me on our first date last night, and I just got home. That sounds bad...don't get the wrong idea!! Haha he took me to Ogden to do this thing called IFly, and it is like a skydiving simulator, there is just a huge fan so you just float there. It looked really cool, but they were completely booked. So we went to dinner, then to his house in Ogden. He was going to take me up into the mountains so we could play in the snow, but it started snowing pretty hard, so we just drove to Ogden Valley and played in the snow there. We were going to leave right after that, but the roads were terrible and it was snowing so hard. He got in an accident over Christmas break due to snowy/icy roads, so he didn't want to risk driving back to Logan through Sardine Canyon. Instead, we went back to his parents house and slept there. I was in the basement, and he was upstairs in his room, haha his parents wouldn't even let us sit in the basement and talk! But his parents are way nice and sooo funny. Haha his mom had so many stories to tell me, like one time, he ran into a wall and broke his hand...basically the funniest thing I have ever heard in my life. This morning his mom made us breakfast, then we came back to Logan. The whole way home, John kept saying how weird it was that our date basically continued overnight, and that it was also weird that we slept at his parents house haha. But I didn't think it was awkward at all! Just a little mini road trip with some minor inconveniences, that really weren't a problem at all. So now I am in my new dorm room, about to do homework, except I think I'm going to call Alyssa, so homework is going to have to wait another two hours. Love you all, and hope everyone is doing well!!
